Talk Description:
Garden writer Lia Leendertz will discuss the many ways that you can bring plants into your home, using lots of examples from house plant growers she has visited around the country. From terrariums, to hanging gardens, to indoor jungles, to shelves of tiny succulents, Lia will look at indoor plants for all levels of expertise, and show some of the most beautiful examples she has found in the homes of growers. The talk will have practical tips on cultivation, as well as inspiration and ideas.
The talk will be lavishly illustrated.

Lia writes about gardening, growing food and cooking, for the Telegraph, the Guardian, Gardens Illustrated and The Garden Her latest book is The New Almanac, a reinvention of the traditional rural almanac, full of gardening, recipes, folklore and tables on the phases of the moon, sun, tides and more.

Talk Description:

Making clever use of colour can lift your garden from the ordinary and turn it into something rather special. Jane Moore will present plenty of takeaway ideas on using colour in all sorts of gardens, using both flowering plants and foliage effects. With Miserden Nursery as inspiration this talk will give ideas on how to make your garden the height of romance with soft toning colours and subtle, fragrant plants.
She will also suggest how to create drama in your borders using bold colours, suggesting plants and combinations that will look great whether your garden covers an acre or is the tiniest plot.

In a horticultural career spanning almost 30 years Jane has been a Head Gardener, a writer on trade and consumer gardening magazines, a researcher on BBC gardening programmes and a TV presenter
Head Gardener at Bath Priory since 2003. She has a wide ranging practical experience, a broad plant knowledge and an unswerving enthusiasm for her chosen career
Jane is currently filming with the BBC as a guest presenter on Gardeners’ World.
